Commissioned by the Guinness family, this folly, the first in the park, was built to commemorate the birth of Benjamin Lee Guinness's daughter in 1837. During midsummer, the Japanese maple strikingly contrasts with the tree ferns opposite, framing the scene beautifully. The approach from below offers a perspective that renders the tower and bridge more
